Time to play catch-up!

Hey everybody! I'm mostly starting this blog to keep in touch with my family while my boyfriend Brad and I go off to live our lives in Seoul, South Korea. We can't wait to start our adventure abroad and are thrilled with all the support we get from everyone in our lives! For my first post, I'd really like to catch everybody up on my life.

This past July, I turned 21! And it's been understandably fantastic. On my birthday, Brad and I met up with my friend Steve in Denver at El Diablo, a tequila bar on Broadway. (It was Morrisey Monday, and it was awesome!) After plenty of tequila, we stammered across the street and enjoyed a couple Agave Wheats over at the Hornet... And we may have returned to El Diablo for tacos and one more shot, but it's really hard to say... The evening did not disappoint, nor did my hangover.

I've been working at Einstein's for a year this month and I finally got my promotion! My hard work and stress is finally all paying off. Sure, I've been expecting it for a looong time now. And sure, I'm still getting paid a lot less than I'm worth, but so is everyone, and it feels good to finally officially be in management. And in related news, I have more money in my bank account than ever before! Now THAT is some fantastic news.

Brad and I are doing quite well! A few months ago, we moved out of the townhouse in Parker in favor of a rent-free situation at my Parent's house. We want to save as much money as we can before we go to Korea. Technically we've been staying at our friend Ryan's for the past few weeks ever since my car kicked the bucket. I really appreciate everything the entire Calderaz family has done and continues to do for Brad and me. They're some of the most kind, generous, selfless people I know. I'm an incredibly lucky person for having all three of them in my life.

Life is really quite good these days. Work is stressful, waiting for Korea is hard, but the little things keep me going. Like on the 4th, we went to go see comedian Doug Stanhope up in Denver at the Oriental theater. (Who was incredible, btw.) And Brad and I have found a new obsession in the show Parks And Recreation. (I know, I'm a little late on the uptake. But if you've yet to give this show a shot, shoot that shit right now!! Thanks so much to Mr. Naddy for the awesome recommendation.) I'm looking forward to what the future holds and I can't wait to share it here!
